Bike from Sea to Sky at the RBC Gran Fondo
Have you ever wanted to experience a bike ride like no other? You can experience some of the most breath-taking views in British Columbia as you peddle your way from Stanley Park, across the iconic Lions Gate Bridge, and travel along the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler.
Coming up this September 8th, 2018, is the ride of a lifetime. We’re talking, of course, about the RBC Gran Fondo! Join 4,500 fellow cyclists for an adventure through the Sea to Sky Corridor. For one day only, cyclists will get a dedicated lane on the highway with no traffic. Plus, a dedicated group of spectators and volunteers cheering and giving refreshments to riders along the way.
Enjoy stunning scenic views of the ocean, lakes, mountains, valleys, and glaciers along the trek to Whistler. The magnificent views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains come with plenty of challenges as well. Participants will challenge their strength and endurance on uphill sections of their journey but will also get rewarded with tons of downhill areas along the way.
All levels of cyclists are welcome to join in and ride at their own pace to the big post-celebration in Whistler. Once you cross the finish line, there's a massive celebration party with live bands, DJs, a vast variety of food and refreshments. There will be lots of other events happening for the riders to do once they get to Whistler; including the Awards Ceremony and the iRide Jam for children.
So fill up your water bottles, tune up your bikes, and get ready to click your shoes in at the starting line this September 8th because the Gran Fondo is something you don’t want to miss out on!
